For some time now, we have been planning to share more regularly about our work and what we are passionate about.
Because all our projects are about sharing. Sharing data and knowledge. We should pay that back sometimes.
While searching through our content for a topic that could provide a nice starting point for this initiative, I came across a short interview I did with Agis, our CEO.
For those of you who don’t know him, I invite you to picture a beautiful swirl of energy with a sharp mind. He is a data fusion evangelist and proud ambassador of linked and open data. With his passion for technology and obsession with challenges, Agis drives every day the Cognizone team into innovation and co-creation.
Looking back to that interview I found great connections between our core values and the way we do our daily work. We aim to create open standards, to publish “Good Open Data” using a smart combination of technology, quality, trust, qualifications… The practice of releasing and supporting the use of data also involves elements of organisational strategy, vision and leadership, engagement with users and cultural change to develop and retain in-house skills and expertise.
So let’s start by talking about what this all means for us!
What is your idea of success for Cognizone?
For me being a successful company is a combination of the following:
To have a really good market reputation, to be trusted by our clients and to deliver qualitative solutions.
Then we want to have a nice environment for our people (employees, contractors, partners). Not only accommodation related (ex. Nice offices) but moreover a nice corporate culture and a subsequent communication that will lead to trust between us.
We enjoy our work – we have fun and we value what we are doing, both are very important ingredients for success
Finally and equally important:
We want our solutions to provide added value to the world. It is not a coincidence that we have always been thrilled by open data, we do believe our motto “Data For Good” and this is also related to our business ethics and “code of honour”.
What do our clients expect from us?
Our clients expect from us the usually added value and quality criteria that they would expect from any company of our calibre:
- to meet their needs and requirements
- transparency while collaborating with them
- to keep the deadlines and remain within the budget
- to deliver added value and quality
But from a more specific point of view, they can rely on our expertise to guide them through any digital transformation journey by providing “pragmatic” consultancy.
They can expect us to meet all FAIR data standards (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) and manage data that can add real value to the world.
What are we good at?
We are experienced and we know what we are talking about. We have skilled people, embracing our corporate culture.
We follow clear and agile methodologies, that our clients can also understand and this is an important ingredient for a smooth collaboration. Our clients can anticipate, at early stages, what they will be acquiring.
We are really good at listening to our client’s needs and we work with them in a continuous improvement manner. Every project of ours is a sort of a “living lab” and we follow the “co-creation” pattern.
We have implemented dozens of successful solutions throughout the years, and that forces our learning curves to be constantly on the rise:
- Project delivery is more efficient year by year
- We are developing high standards of work and we are enhancing the quality project by project
- Process and tools related to “co-creation” with our clients are improved
- We learn from our mistakes and we include these findings in our learning curve process
How do you see Cognizone in a near future?
We definitively want to continue to be driven by innovation. The world moves on, technology follows closely and we want to “taste” AI, especially on the implementation level. We have already been doing that and we want to further foster its adoption within the company. We want to grow, in a careful and structured manner and focus even more on strengthening our corporate culture, which we believe is the key to success.
